Tim Appleton: The Fight to Expand End-of-Life Options in our Country and State
Monday, October 13, 2025 at the HFFC Monthly Featured-Speaker Program
7:00
PM program. Hybrid meeting (in-person and virtual)
On
Monday, October 13, 2025 Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield
County (HFFC) will feature Tim Appleton, Senior Campaign Director of
Compassion & Choices, Connecticut. Tim will
discuss the
movement to improve and expand end-of-life care options – including
medical aid in dying – across the United States and locally in
Connecticut. He will also explain how we can support the campaign to
bring this time-tested, compassionate healthcare option to
terminally-ill adults living in the Nutmeg State.
Beginning
his career as a staffer in the Connecticut State Legislature, Tim
Appleton has worked on campaigns to advance medical aid in dying
legislation with Compassion & Choices for ten years. His work has
also contributed to the passage of two separate medical aid in dying
bills tin Delaware and New York.
This meeting is free and open to all. Join us at the Wilton (Connecticut) Quaker Meetinghouse for the presentation and come to the social gathering beforehand. Gourmet pizza and refreshments will be served from 6:30-7:00 PM. The presentation will start at 7:00. We will also be recording and broadcasting this meeting virtually via Zoom for anyone who is unable to join us in person; check in at 6:45.
