You're Invited! Celebrate 300 Years of Wilton!
As Wilton’s 300th Anniversary year draws to a close, we invite you to join Wilton Congregational Church for a special community celebration where it all began!
In 1726, families living in the areas known as Kent, Belden’s Hill, and Chestnut Hill petitioned for permission to establish their own parish and church. That historic moment laid the foundation for the community that would become the town of Wilton. Three hundred years later, we celebrate not only the founding of our church, but the beginnings of the town we all call home.
On Sunday, November 22, from 4:00–6:00 p.m., join friends and neighbors from across Wilton for a festive afternoon celebrating our shared history and the community that has grown from those early beginnings.
Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and conversation while exploring one of Wilton's most treasured historic landmarks. Nick Foster, Director of the Wilton Historical Society, will lead guided tours of our beautiful sanctuary, the oldest in Fairfield County still in continuous use, sharing stories of the people and events that shaped our town.
Families are especially welcome! Children's activities and childcare will be available, and football fans can catch the NFL game in the Upper Meeting Room.
This is a celebration for the entire Wilton community! Whether you have lived here for generations or are new to town, we hope you'll join us as we honor 300 years of history, friendship, and community and look ahead to the next 300 years!
All are welcome. We look forward to celebrating with you!
