Celeste Hoelzl Wins FCIAC/MSG Scholarship Award

Hoelzl earned all-FCIAC, all-state and all-New England honors in indoor and outdoor track.

During Tuesday's annual FCIAC banquet, Wilton's Celeste Hoelzl was named as the female recipient of the FCIAC/MSG scholarship award that is presented jointly by the league and the MSG Varsity network.

Wilton's 2010 CIAC female scholar-athlete award winner, Hoelzl has been a National Honor Society member for the past three years with a grade-point average of 3.93, which ranks third in her class.

Hoelzl was the captain of Wilton's  indoor and outdoor girls'  track and field teams, earning All-FCIAC, All-State and All-New England honors in those sports.

She also garnered All-FCIAC and All-New England laurels in cross country

Jeff Gee, the long-time coach of Wilton's girls' track and field team, was one of six honorees inducted into the FCIAC Hall of Fame on Tuesday.
