Doors Stolen Off Car in Wilton: Police

A man returned to his car after getting off the train, and found his car looking very different than he had left it.

WILTON, CT — Police are investigating after a man returned to his car Wednesday to find that two doors had been taken off the car and stolen.

The man told police he found the screws that held the door in place on the ground and inside the passenger side of the car, and also found pieces of the broken locking mechanism in the driver's side door.

Police say the crime occurred when the Honda was parked at the Wilton Train Station. A coat and some spare change were also taken.
