Labor Force Shows Growth in Wilton

The latest job numbers show that Wilton saw a slight increase in the number of unemployed residents, but also an increase in the number of residents in the labor force, according to the Connecticut Department of Labor. 

Wilton's rate jumped to 6.1 percent from 5.8 percent the month before. In total, the town has 528 unemployed people. The total labor force grew to 8,628 from 8,549.

Statewide, the unemployment rate is 8.1 percent and the national rate is 8.2 percent.
