Rocket League, Madden, Super Smash Bros., Fortnite and Mario Kart are among the games offered in the new regional league.
WILTON, CT — The Parks and Recreation Department will be partnering with an online gaming company to bring access to an esports league to Wilton.
Leagues will be run online through GGLeagues and will consist of an eight-week season. Games will be at the same time and day each week with a flexible rescheduling policy, according to a news release from Parks & Rec. At the end of the season, players will participate in a two-week playoff and championship event to crown the champion.
Available games include Rocket League, Madden, Super Smash Bros., Fortnite and Mario Kart. Players can participate from home, but must own a copy of the game, have a console/computer to play it on, have an email address and the ability to play live. A GGLeagues winter esports pass costing $40 is also required.
