Andy Romer: Photographs

Andy Romer, a Wilton High School alum and a 2012 graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design, shares his passion for photography in his eponymous exhibition, Andy Romer: Photographs, opening Friday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Wilton Library.  His exhibition encompasses more than 50 photographs representing projects from his course work as well as those reflecting his own interests, which include examining new technologies and techniques.  Andy now is a New York City-based photographer who specializes in reproduction photography for all kinds of artists, galleries and museums, as well as creating detailed panoramic virtual tours.  An accomplished photographer since his high school years, Andy received a Wilton High School Crystal Apple Ward for Outstanding Photography in 2008, along with Wilton Arts Council Awards for its Focus photography exhibitions – Junior Award in 2007, Honorable Mention in 2009, and Best in Show in 2011 for his Philip Johnson Sculpture Gallery, which will be on display in his one-man show at the library.

The reception is open to the public.  The exhibition runs through Wednesday, September 28.  The majority of photographs will be available for purchase.  A portion of the proceeds benefits the library. Wilton Library is located at 137 Old Ridgefield Road in the heart of Wilton Center.  Library hours are Mondays – Thursdays 10 – 8; Fridays 10 – 6, Saturdays 10 – 5; Sundays 1 – 5 beginning Sept. 9.  For information and directions, visit www.wiltonlibrary.org or call 203-762-3950, ext. 213.
