Firearms Training Planned In Wilton, Residents May Hear Gunfire: Police
Officials said residents near the landfill may hear intermittent gunfire during scheduled training dates.
WILTON, CT — Residents in parts of Wilton may hear gunfire in the coming days as police conduct scheduled training exercises, officials said.
The Wilton Police Department announced it will hold firearms training on March 30, April 2, April 6 and April 7, with an additional date to be determined, according to a news release.
The training will take place at the Town of Wilton landfill.

Police said people in surrounding areas may hear intermittent firearm discharges during the exercises, which are part of routine training.
Officials emphasized the activity is controlled and does not indicate an emergency situation.
