WILTON, CT --- The Mianus Chapter of Trout Unlimited is inviting Wilton residents to celebrate the opening day of trout season, Saturday, April 14, with a free, streamside breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and juice at Merwin Meadows Park.
Volunteers will be dishing out hot meals from 9 to 11 a.m. Residents are encouraged to come early and fish, then stop by for a bite, or join the group for breakfast and then head to the Norwalk River that flows through the park for some fishing.
The event and meal is free and open to all - members and non-members alike. Donations to the chapter to support the group's conservation and youth education projects and programs are encouraged.
