Former Wilton Preschool Paraprofessional Arrested for Possession of Child Porn
Eric Von Kohorn has been under investigation since June, according to Wilton School Superintendent Dr. Kevin Smith.
Wilton’s new Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin Smith alerted parents today that a former preschool paraprofessional was arrested today for possession of child pornography.
Eric Von Kohorn has been under investigation since June of 2014, according to Dr. Smith’s letter. Upon learning of the investigation by Wilton Police, Dr. Smith stated Von Kohorn was immediately placed on administrative leave and not permitted to return to school grounds. Von Kohorn resigned on June 16, 2014.
Dr. Smith stated that Von Kohorn underwent a full background check prior to being hired in 2007 and “no red flags or records of previous illegal behavior surfaced.”

A parents’ night is being planned for preschool parents who wish to discuss this matter with Wilton Public Schools administrators, law enforcement and mental health professionals.
Dr. Smith stated in his letter that Wilton Public Schools notified the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
