Free College Essay workshop for High School students
Trackside Teen Center offers free college essay writing workshop for high school students.

Trackside Teen Center of Wilton invites high school students to attend a free College Essay Workshop on Monday September 25th at 7pm. This free workshop presented by Carolyn Field will help students successfully write compelling college essays which meet the requirements for the 2017/2018 Common Application essay prompts.
Carolyn Field has worked with many students in Wilton as well as around the tri-state area over the years, helping them craft compelling and effective essays. In the workshop, Ms. Field will review the 2017/2018 Common Application essay requirements, provide guidance on how to approach each essay prompt, and teach students how to brainstorm for a topic to present themselves in a positive and compelling way in their own voice. She will also review pitfalls to avoid and share examples of effective essays written by former high school seniors.
While the workshop is intended for high school seniors, parents are also welcome to attend.
The College Essay Workshop at Trackside Teen Center is free, but a suggested donation of $10 to benefit Trackside Teen Center of Wilton will be accepted and greatly appreciated. Space is limited so registration is requested. For more information or to reserve a space, please call Trackside at 203.834.2888 or visit www.trackside.org/essay. Trackside Teen Center is located at 15 Station Rd in Wilton. Another free College Essay Workshop will be held in October, date TBD.
