Genetics and Breast Cancer: Who is at risk?

Breast Cancer Survival Center Talk on Genetics and Breast Cancer: Who Is At Risk?

On December 2nd, Tuesday at 6:00pm at the Wilton Library, Jessica Lipschutz, MS, Certified Genetic Counselor at Norwalk Hospital’s Smilow Family Breast Health Center will talk about Genetics and Breast Cancer: Who is at Risk? What testing is available? When there is family history, who should be the one to be tested?

The issues of genetic testing are frequent topics at BCSC’s support groups. Topics like –when there is a family history of cancer, who should be the one to get tested? Or if there is no identifiable gene, what can you do to try to prevent further cancers? Or who should be the one to get tested? We will have a Q and A session after Jessica’s talk. Space is limited, please contact Nina Marino, LCSW, Clinical Director of The Breast Cancer Survival Center at Cancersurvival2@aol.com or 203-857-7304.
