Girls' Self-Defense Class Opens at Trackside

Trackside Teen Center is accepting registrations for middle school girls' self-defense class

Trackside Teen Center is offering a Girls’ Self-Defense class for girls in grades 6 through 8 on Monday
afternoons, from 3:30 to 4:30, April 16th through April 30th. This class is specifically designed with younger students in mind and will help middle school girls feel empowered and prepared to stay safe and respond
appropriately to potentially hazardous situations.


Students will gain a basic understanding and awareness of when and how to use various self-defense techniques. Students should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers to class. Registration is available online at www.trackside.org. A class fee of $125 may also be submitted online. Instructor Lisa Bohacs will guide teens to practice physical and practical self-defense techniques.


The Instructor for this class will be Lisa Bohacs. Lisa has been involved in the Martial Arts for 37 years. She is a 5th degree black belt and has been teaching for 33 years. She competed nationally and internationally for the U.S.A. She has been on four U.S.A. National teams, has taken two individual silver medals and one bronze in women’s heavyweight fighting and two overall team gold medals.
