Giving Day is Tomorrow - Please Support DAWS!

Tomorrow, March 5, is Fairfield County’s second annual Giving Day. The goal is to raise $1 million in 24 hours through online donations to 300 local nonprofit organizations. Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) is one of those nonprofits you could help by donating.

DAWS is looking for support from our friends, families, previous adopters, donors, and sponsors on Giving Day. Please consider giving to DAWS and help us raise at least $5,000 to help make much-needed shelter repairs. Your donation of $10 or more makes a difference. Each donation adds up and can help nonprofits, like DAWS, win over $20,000 in cash prizes.

Giving Day was initiated last year by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation with the goal to encourage individuals, families, companies, clubs and groups to “give where you live.” This effort is sponsored by Bank of America. Last year, more than 9,000 people donated over $750,000 to 267 nonprofits serving Fairfield County in just 24 hours!
