Heavy Police Presence In Wilton; Incident Under Control
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded in Wilton Tuesday morning.
WILTON, CT — A police operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies prompted a heavy police presence and traffic disruption in Wilton Tuesday morning, according to police.
Wilton police initially asked people to avoid the area around 314 Ridgefield Road as multiple law enforcement agencies operated throughout the surrounding area.
Police said there was no immediate concern for the safety of area residents but warned people living nearby that they could see officers on or around their properties, including on residential security cameras, as the operation continued.

In an update at 10:25 a.m., police said the incident was under control.
Police continued to ask people to avoid Middlebrook Farm Road between School Road and Ridgefield Road while authorities remained in the area.
