HIGH WATCH RECOVERY CENTER HOSTS ANNUAL PICNIC WITH KEYNOTE FROM AWARD-WINNING PSYCHIATRIST HELEN M. FARRELL

As With Her TEDx Talk, Addiction Expert Dr. Farrell Blends the Art of Storytelling with Informative Content.

Nestled in the lush valley of the beautiful Litchfield Hills, High Watch Recovery Center is inviting the community to enjoy a fun-filled day of food and inspiration during its annual picnic on Sunday, September 20, Noon to 4:00 p.m. at the High Watch Recovery Center, 62 Carter Rd., Kent, CT.

In addition to providing an exciting day of fellowship, raffles and delicious homemade food prepared by the legendary High Watch kitchen, this year’s featured speaker will be Helen M. Farrell, award-winning Harvard psychiatrist and writer with an expertise in the treatment of addiction. Her writing has been featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Psychology Today and NPR. Dr. Farrell has appeared at a wide range of events as a keynote speaker including her TEDx Talk “Creating Hope for Mental Health” where she blends the art of storytelling with informative content.

Turnout for the picnic has always been great and High Watch is looking forward to seeing friends, family, its supporters and the community on this special day.
