Hospice Acquires Store on Danbury Road in Wilton

If the Planning and Zoning Commission approves, the store will be converted into office space.

WILTON, CT --- The former Hitchcock Furniture store at 22 Danbury Road has been acquired by Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County as its eventual permanent home, the Wilton Bulletin has reported. The new space will take the place of office space the company has leased for the past decade at iPark, 761 Main Avenue, in Norwalk on the Wilton border. The Planning and Zoning Commission will deliberate on the nursing agency’s proposal to renovate the former retail building into administrative offices May 14.

The non-profit agency provides professional nursing and support services, senior care management, physical rehabilitation, health education, community wellness programs and hospice care for adults and children.

22DR LLC sold the 8,000 square feet of 22 Danbury Road to Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County Inc. for $1.4 million, according to records at town hall.
