Hour-By-Hour Freezing Temps for Wilton

Winter arrived all of a sudden on Monday, from a temperature standpoint at least, and we’ve got one more brutally cold weather day to deal with before the temps rebound by Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Special Weather Statement” and “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Hartford and Tolland counties as bitterly cold wind chills of 0 to 15 below zero will arrive by mid-morning Tuesday.
It won’t exactly feel like South Beach for the rest of Connecticut either, as it will feel like anywhere between zero and 10 degrees once the wind chill is factored in.

For those who love snow, well weather.com’s updated 15-day forecast shows no real snow chances except for Jan. 17 when snow and rain is possible. Some sleet is possible late Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Things can always change, but temps will rebound into the 40s later this week and even hit 50 by the weekend.
Next week, temps will be back into the 30s but above freezing and no major precipitation is forecast for now.

For southern Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties:
- 10 a.m.: 16 degrees, feels like 3 degrees
- 12 p.m.: 22 degrees, feels like 12 degrees
- 3 p.m.: 26 degrees, feels like 19 degrees
- 5 p.m.: 24 degrees, feels like 19 degrees
- 8 p.m.: 23 degrees, feels like 17 degrees
- Midnight: 20 degrees, feels like 14 degrees
- 6 a.m. Wednesday: 20 degrees, feels like 14 degrees
- 1 p.m.: 38 degrees
For northern Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties:
- 10 a.m.: 14 degrees, feels like 2 degrees
- 12 p.m.: 20 degrees, feels like 10 degrees
- 3 p.m.: 26 degrees, feels like 20 degrees
- 5 p.m.: 23 degrees, feels like 19 degrees
