How is the Water Quality in Our Watershed?

Join the Norwalk River Watershed Association For An Update On Water Quality Wednesday, May 25, 6:30PM at Earthplace in Westport

We are lucky in our watershed! The Norwalk River is one of the few rivers in the country with data on water quality that goes back as long as 20 years. This valuable resource comes to us through the hard work of volunteers and employees at Harbor Watch, an organization that takes weekly samples from the river and tests them at their state-certified lab. At the NRWA 2016 Annual Meeting, which is open to the public, Harbor Watch Director Sarah Crosby will provide a tour of the beautiful new lab at Earthplace in Westport and demonstrate how the organization tests water samples from the Norwalk River and others in the area. She will also report on the state of water quality in the River and the Sound as well as the changing fish populations around Norwalk Harbor. All are welcome to this free event where more information will also be available about the Norwalk River Watershed Association. We will meet at Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane, Westport. More information and to register, call 877-NRWA-INFO; (877-679-2463) or info@norwalkriver.org.
