“This year marks the 100th birthday of the National Park Service,” notes Janice Hess, Executive Director of Weir Farm Art Center, who adds that both the Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site are excited to welcome back The Brubeck Brothers Quartet, with Chris Brubeck on bass and trombone, Dan Brubeck on drums, Chuck Lamb on piano and Mike DeMicco on guitar to help celebrate the occasion.
Chris Brubeck says, “I'm excited to return to play with The Brubeck Brothers Quartet at Weir Farm for the "Jazz in The Garden" series. It is always meaningful to us when we can create music for the hometown crowd, evoking the powerful memories of nearly 20 years of jazz concerts at this beautiful venue. I've always said that playing in the Weir Farm garden on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, looking out onto a crowd of smiling friends and familiar faces, watching the children dancing, twirling, and playing with balloons always feels like a slice of Norman Rockwell's America.”
