Julian Lage & Chris Eldridge, Live at Edmond Town Hall, 5/8

Julian Lage and Chris Eldridge bring their 1939 Martin acoustic guitar duo to Newtown's Edmond Town Hall stage, May 8th at 7pm.

Friday, May 8th, 7pm

TICKETS, $20: www.edmondtownhall.org/liveateth

The guitar duo of Julian Lage and Chris “Critter” Eldridge is a collaborative effort founded in the roots of acoustic music, exploring the worlds of improvisation and composition. With Lage’s background in modern jazz and Eldridge’s deep relationship with bluegrass (he is the guitarist for the widely acclaimed band PUNCH BROTHERS), this duo lives at the nexus of improv, spontaneous composition and virtuosic refinement, all performed on their 1939 Martin guitars.

A parent-daughter duo in the tradition of The Kendalls and The Judds, composer/guitarist Dave Hart and his 20-year-old daughter Emma (a violin prodigy who has been performing since she was five) will open the evening.

All proceeds from Live at the Edmond Town Hall shows go towards improvement efforts at Newtown’s historic Edmond Town Hall. Built during the Great Depression, this New England landmark has just recently entered into the 21st century with brand new, state-of-the-art sound, power, and Blu-ray systems. Help us continue the work and keep ETH around for future generations.
