KEYS receives grant from Near & Far Aid to support music programs

KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support, Inc) is honored to have been awarded a $10,000 grant from Near & Far Aid. Funding from grantors, such as Near & Far Aid, allows music education to be provided at no cost to students in Bridgeport, CT. KEYS is all about empowering students by exposing them to music education as a life-changing experience. Music builds confidence, teaches teamwork, and requires preparation and focus. Students who receive exposure to music education have opportunities to make a difference both in their personal lives and in their participation in their communities. KEYS offers a comprehensive music program of one-to-one instrument lessons, after-school practice sessions, group music instruction and workshops, non-audition KEYS Orchestra, KEYS Chorus, and KEYS Concert Band Ensembles at Bridgeport’s Klein Auditorium, as well as summer programs and active collaborations with other non-profit organizations.
