Last Copies of Local Kayaking Book
Only 50 copies remain of the fourth and final printing of "Kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands" guidebook

Only 50 copies remain in stock of the final printing of the guidebook, “Kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands.” One of the last copies is available online at: http://norwalkriver.org/hikingmapskayakingguide/ . A description of the book’s contents is at this link and a portion of the proceeds is donated to the non-profit Norwalk River Watershed Association’s for their efforts in protecting the 40,000 acre Norwalk River watershed.
The books can also be found at the Dock Shop Nautical Boutique, 51 Tokeneke Rd in Darien, near the Darien RR station and Rt 1; at the Small Boat Shop at Rex Marine Center, 144 Water St in Norwalk; and at the Westport Historical Society Remarkable Gift Shop, 25 Avery Place, across from the Westport Town Hall.
“Kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands” was written by East Norwalk resident and avid kayaker David Park. It was first printed in 2009 (6 years ago) and has sold over 1,000 copies. It has been updated three times to its current fourth and last edition. The book was produced and sold for the fun of it and without profit to the author. I hope that both local and out-of-town residents are able to enjoy safe and fun local kayaking! The Norwalk Islands and our surrounding coastal areas and rivers are a local treasure...the jewel of Norwalk, Westport and Darien.
