Learn more about Retinal Diseases:Age Related Macular Degeneration, Retinities Pigmentosa and Stargardt Disease, Foundation Fight Blindness

The Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) is offering a free seminar aimed at helping those with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) better understand the disease and provide them with access to resources to help them learn about and cope with vision loss.

“This event represents a unique opportunity for those affected by this vision robbing disease to help patients and their families coping with AMD,” says event speaker Dr. Timothy Schoen, an expert on AMD and various retinal diseases. “We look forward to providing attendees with the chance to learn and interact with others who are vision-impaired or facing vision loss.”

Since the Foundation was founded in 1971, a high priority has been placed on addressing the needs of those living with retinal degeneration and their families. These activities are part of FFB’s Public Health Education Program which includes providing timely information about these diseases and advances in research to overcome them; identifying resources such as retina specialists, diagnostic services, and low vision aids and services.
