Long Island Man Nabbed On DUI After Hit-And-Run In Wilton: Police
A man driving a U-Haul south on Ridgefield Road on July 31 struck another motorist as he passed the vehicle
WILTON, CT — A man driving a U-Haul south on Ridgefield Road on July 31 struck another motorist as he passed the vehicle, according to a Wilton police report.
Police were called to locate the truck and found it in the area of Ridgefield Road and Drum Hill Road.
After pulling the U-Haul over, the officers wrote they thought the truck driver's "actions were not normal and in plain view they observed alcohol containers."

The driver of the U-Haul, a 58-year-old man from Huntington Station, NY, refused all field sobriety testing at the scene, and chemical testing when taken back to Police HQ.
The Long Islander was released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug.13
