Police say the man stole there personal checks from the man who was in hospice care.

Wilton police say Joshimar Craig Russell, 27, of Beechwood Avenue in Bridgeport is accused of stealing the identity of someone he was entrusted to care for.

Police say Russell worked as a caretaker for an elderly man in hospice care when he allegedly stole three personal checks from the man and deposited them into his own account.

Police said the elderly man was not able to write the checks, and later died. Russell made up a story that he had performed roofing work at the man’s house in new Jersey but police say that was proven false.
