March 5th is Giving Day for Local Non-profits
Danbury Animal Welfare Society hopes to raise $5,000 on Giving Day

March 5 is Fairfield County’s second annual Giving Day. The goal is to raise $1 million in 24 hours through online donations to 300 local nonprofit organizations. Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) is one of those nonprofits looking for support.
Giving Day was initiated last year by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation with the goal to encourage individuals, families, companies, clubs and groups to “give where you live.” This effort is sponsored by Bank of America. Last year, more than 9,000 people donated over $750,000 to 267 nonprofits serving Fairfield County in just 24 hours!
A donation as little as $10 makes a difference. Each donation adds up and can help nonprofits win over $20,000 in cash prizes. Please set a reminder to visit FCGives.org on March 5 and give to your favorite local nonprofits.

Danbury Animal Welfare Society is looking for support from our friends, families, previous adopters, donors, and sponsors on Giving Day. Please consider giving to DAWS and help us raise at least $5,000 to help us make much-needed shelter repairs. The animals in our care thank you for your consideration!
