Montessori School in Wilton to Unveil New Learning Areas

The age range is from infants to toddlers.

A new Toddler Room and Infant-Parent Room will be debuted at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, Nov. 23 at the Montessori School in Wilton.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., officials said.

Specifically designed for infants and young toddlers, the Infant-Parent Room will help them explore their capabilities.

The room will be used to teach parents and children about such things as the importance of movement, language and sleeping and eating independence under the supervision of a Montessori teacher.

Equipped with a knee-high kitchen, the new Toddler Room is designed with the toddler’s size in mind.

It will help introduce cognitive and physical challenges, as well develop confidence and strong sense of self, according to the school.

The Montessori School is located at 34 Whipple Rd. in Wilton.
