Music for Youth presents violinist, Kristin Lee, December 13th, Saturday, 2 PM, at Pequot Library in Southport

Music for Youth presents talented violinist, Kristin Lee, at the next FREE Young Persons’ Concert on December 13th, Saturday, 2 PM, at Pequot Library, Southport. No tickets needed, but adults should be accompanied by a young person aged 5 to 18. Winner of the Astral Artists’ 2010 National Auditions, Kristin Lee has been praised by The Strad for her “rare stylistic aptness.” A violinist of remarkable versatility and impeccable technique, Ms. Lee enjoys a vibrant career as a soloist and chamber musician. Ms. Lee was a top prizewinner of the 2012 Walter W. Naumburg Competition and has received many honors, including the 2011 Trio di Trieste Premio International Competition, the SYLFF Fellowship, the Dorothy DeLay Scholarship, the Aspen Music Festival’s Violin Competition, the New Jersey Young Artists’ Competition, and the Salon de Virtuosi Scholarship Foundation. Ms. Lee earned her master’s degree from The Juilliard School in 2010 studying with Itzhak Perlman and Donald Weilerstein. In Perlman’s studio she acted as an assistant teacher. She performed with the Orchestra Atlanta at the age of 10, and continues to have a vibrant career as a soloist with major orchestras throughout the U.S. and abroad. Lee is an accomplished chamber musician and has shared the stage with renowned artists as Itzhak Perlman and the Orion String Quartet.
