New culinary arts program opens at Trackside Teen Center
A new cooking class for middle schoolers begins in late February at Trackside Teen Center of Wilton

Trackside’s all new Culinary Arts Class is designed with teens in mind! In this cooking class, middle school students will learn new cooking and baking techniques and explore kitchen tools while hanging out with their peers at Trackside's commercial kitchen. This class will allow small group hands-on opportunities through station teaching in order to follow recipes. Students will rotate through two stations during each class to learn every aspect of preparing delicious foods.
Students also have an opportunity to decide the themes for each week while also learning to prepare some of instructor Angela Bastone's favorites; chicken Parmesan meatballs, zucchini linguine, and empanadas. Some techniques covered in this class will include how to dice, cut, sauté, puree, simmer, marinate, mince, batter, and more!
Culinary Arts Class at Trackside will meet on Tuesdays from 4:30pm to 6pm, February 27th through April 3rd. Registration for this course is available at www.trackside.org. A registration fee of $300 per student includes the cost of supplies for each class. For any questions, contact program director Amy Nassef at (203) 834-2888 or by email at Amy@trackside.org
