New Wilton Police Station Now Open, Ribbon Cutting Set

A grand opening ceremony is planned next month as the department moves into its new headquarters.

WILTON, CT — Wilton police have moved into a new headquarters, marking a major milestone for the department.

The Wilton Police Department is now operating out of its new facility at 240 Danbury Road, according to a newsletter from the First Selectman’s Office.

It is located directly in front of the previous police building, which is expected to be torn down.

Town officials said all public services are now being provided from the new building following the transition.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 at 1 p.m., where residents will be invited to tour the new headquarters.

The event will include light refreshments and a donated ice cream truck at no cost to taxpayers, according to town officials.

Officials said the new facility is designed to meet the needs of a modern police department, with updated technology and infrastructure.
