WILTON, CT — A Manhattan man is facing charges in Wilton after police say he fell asleep in his vehicle on town property in the Town Hall Annex parking lot.
Wilton police officers found the 54-year-old motorist asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle, parked but running, with an open beer bottle in his hand.
The driver did not perform field sobriety tests to standard, according to the report from the Wilton PD. He was taken into custody, booked and charged with DUI. After posting 7 percent of his $300 bond, the driver was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 28.
