WILTON, CT — It is with great sadness that the family of Edward F. Raposa announces his passing on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the age of 94. Edward was born to Mary Russell and Manuel S. Raposa in Portsmouth, RI.
A long term resident of Wilton, Connecticut and Middletown, Rhode Island, Edward served as a Marine in the Korean War. He was the founder and President of Copy Data, Inc.

Edward held various volunteer positions in Wilton including 3rd Vice President and Chairman of the Board for The Wilton Playshop, member of the Wilton Commission on Social Services, Wilton Commons Planning Committee, led a team of volunteers from Our Lady of Fatima who prepared and served lunch at Ogden House monthly, volunteered at the food pantry, the Grand Friends program in the Wilton Schools, Toys for Tots, and served as Paymaster for the Marine Corp League.
Edward is survived by Children Patricia (Robert) Reineke, Robin Raposa, and Mark Raposa; Grandchildren Ted Reineke, Katherine Rohe, Ryan Latella, Connor Latella, and Meaghan Latella; Great-grandchildren Mia Reineke, Lilian Rohe, and Savannah Rohe, and brother Raymond (Susan) Shea, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years, Cathleen C. Raposa, his parents, step-father John Nappi, mother-in-law Mary Rose Cuddihy, Siblings Elsie Kirby; Everett (Rita) Raposa; Josephine (William) McInvale; Dorothy Shea; sister and brothers in-law Lillian (Clifford) Hall, John Joseph (Ruth) Cuddihy, Helen (Jerry) Aiello, Thomas (Tecla) Cuddihy, Mary (Nicholas) Troianiello, Eleanor (Frank) Goffred, Francis (Phyllis) Cuddihy, and son-in-law Joseph Sorrentino.

Donations in memory of Edward can be made to Toys for Tots or the Wilton Ambulance Corp.
Friends and relatives are invited to a attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Rd. Wilton, CT 06897, celebrated by Rev. Reginal Norman, Pastor. Burial Services with Military Honors will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Wilton.
