WILTON, CT — Pasquale "Patsy" LaSorsa, age 80, of Wilton, passed away peacefully after a short illness, with his family by his side, on Feb. 16, 2023 at Wilton Meadows Rehabilitation Unit.

Born in Mount Vernon, New York on July 11, 1942 he was the son of the late Francesco and Gabriella (Goffredo) LaSorsa. Patsy suffered a traumatic brain injury at age 2 and at that time became developmentally disabled. He lived in the Bronx, New York until 1954 when he moved to Yonkers. He attended NY public schools until the 4th grade and then transferred to private Roman Catholic boarding school until the age of 17. In July 2008, Patsy moved to Wilton, where he resided until the time of his passing.

Despite any struggles he faced Patsy was always loving, considerate and willing to help those around him. He was passionate about his family and his wide circle of friends. He had a memory to be envious of and was kind to all. He found great strength in his faith, watching the Roman Catholic Mass on TV twice a day, always saying his Rosary and reading his Prayer Book. Patsy was a master of puzzles and also loved attending live concerts, singing, gardening, eating good food, playing bingo and most of all his greatest love was being with his family, who loved him dearly.

He is survived by his niece Roseann (Maltese) De Simone and her husband John, his great nieces Jonna De Simone Franklin and her husband Michael, Dayna De Simone Sargen and her husband Peter, great nephew Marc De Simone and his wife Robbi-Lyn, great-great niece Grace Sargen and great-great nephews John Franklin, Thomas Sargen, Charles Sargen and Jack De Simone. Patsy was predeceased by his sister Angelina (LaSorsa) Maltese and brother-in-law Luigi Maltese.

The family would like to thank ALL of the administration and staff at The Greens at Cannondale and Wilton Meadows Rehab for all of the love, care and support shown to Patsy over the past 5 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Wilton. Entombment will immediately follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers please send a memorial contribution in Patsy's name to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or any charity of choice.
