Police Arrest Man for Failing to Appear in Court

He caught the PD's attention when he was driving his truck with headlights and tail lights off.

WILTON, CT — Police arrested a Norwalk man on Friday for failing to appear in a Stamford court.

Wilton police observed a pickup truck on Route 7 in the area of the Gulf Station on 287 Danbury Road at 6:45 p.m. with its headlights and tail lights off. Police stopped the truck when they saw it move over the fog lines on the right side of Route 7.

Police questioned the driver of the truck, Renan Aguilar-Estrada, 41, of Snowden Street in Norwalk, and discovered that he was driving without a license. Upon further investigation, police learned that there was an active warrant for his arrest from Stamford Superior Court for failing to appear at a scheduled court date resulting from traffic offenses issued by Stamford police.

Aguilar was processed at Wilton police headquarters, released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in Stamford Court on Nov. 5.
