Police Arrest Wilton Man for DUI

He was discovered trying to back his pickup truck out of parking space in the lot in front of Wilton Hardware.

WILTON, CT -- The Police Departmet responded to a report of a man who appeared intoxicated in the area of Wilton Hardware on Sunday.

On August 5, officers arrived at 21 River Road and discovered a man attempting to back a Toyota pickup truck out of a parking space. Upon closer investigation, the man, Richard G. Threshie, 62, showed signs of intoxication, police said.

Threshie, from 6 Powder Horn Road, was unable to pass a sobriety test, police said. He submitted to a breath test which indicated a blood alcohol level of 0.28, according to the arrest report.

Threshie was arrested for third degree DUI, released on $250 bond, and given a court date of August 15 in Norwalk Superior Court.
