Police Charge Wilton Man With Serving Alcohol To Minors

WILTON, CT — Police charged a Wilton man with allowing minors to drink alcohol on Friday night.

At approximately 11:10 p.m., officers investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle found a party taking place at the Sturges Ridge Road residence of Patrick Cropper, 59. As police officers approached the residence, they say they saw a large group of people running into an adjacent property.

Police report they discovered "a large party involving minors and alcohol consumption was occurring on the property."

Cropper was charged with permitting minors to possess alcohol, and was issued a misdemeanor summons. He was released on a promise to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 30.
