  • Dominic Mastro, 41, of Naugatuck was arrested for committing a computer crime in the second degree. In May 2010, the Wilton Town Hall e-mail server was temporarily disabled due to numerous large files that were sent into the server. An investigation determined that the files appeared to have been sent to the server with the specific purpose of disabling it. Internet addresses associated with these incoming files were traced, which led police to Mastro. Mastro was then found to be an employee of a vendor previously contracted by the Town of Wilton to provide IT assistance. That vendor had previously been terminated by the Town, possibly prompting Mastro's actions. Mastro eventually admitted to sending large files into the town's server to cause disruption to the service. He turned himself in to Wilton police, posted a $25,000 bond, and has a Feb. 14 court date.

  • An altercation occurred in the kitchen of the Ten China Bistro at 239 Danbury Road between the business owner and a chef. Eric Xie, 47, of Wilton and Zhong Yi Chi, 33, of Norwalk were both charged with disorderly conduct as a result of the dispute. Both were later released on PTAs for Feb. 15 court dates.
