Police: Wilton Woman Who Kicked Officer Charged with DUI

The woman also allegedly verbally assaulted a witness in the area and punched the hood of his car.

A Wilton woman who allegedly kicked a police officer was charged with driving under the influence and breach of peace.

Police received a complaint regarding a disabled vehicle in the roadway missing a tire on April 10 around 9:15 p.m.. The caller said the female operator, Elizabeth Blum, 38, of Silver Spring Road had slurred speech and was currently in the middle of the roadway.

According to police, when officers attempted to interview the operator, Blum was uncooperative and kicking an officer. Police say she also attempted to close her car door while the officer stood in the doorway.

A witness in the area said before police arrived, Blum verbally assaulted him and punched the hood of his car, police said.

Blum was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and breach of peace.

She was released on a promise to appear in court on April 20.
