The Power of Song: Music on the Hill Festival Chorus Concert

Music on the Hill presents an uplifting concert, to move and inspire, at the Unitarian Church in Westport on October 15th.

Music on the Hill opens its fall 2017 concert season with an uplifting concert of the Festival Chorus with artistic directors David H. Connell and Ellen Dickinson.

"The Power of Song" features stylistically diverse selections -- from English madrigals to Sweet Honey In The Rock. It includes works by well-known composers Randall Thompson and Aaron Copland, as well as newer works. Among the latter: Craig Carnahan’s “Armistice 1918,” a setting of the poem “Everyone Sang” written by Siegfried Sassoon at the end of WWI.

The concert takes place on Sunday, October 15, at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Church in Westport, located at 10 Lyons Plains Road. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door; students are free. Order tickets at musiconthehillCT.org, or phone 203-529-3133.
