Register for Summer Chorus!
Music on the Hill welcomes singers -- students and adults -- for the 15th annual Summer Chorus starting June 27.
Register by June 27 to sing the Schubert Mass in E-Flat led by artistic director Ellen Dickinson. This is one of Schubert's last major works, rarely performed but filled with the lyrical beauty for which he was admired.
Summer Chorus rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m., from June 27 through July 25. (No rehearsal July 4.) Concert: Thursday, July 27, 8 p.m. Rehearsals and concert take place at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church at the WEPCO church complex, 48 New Canaan Road in Wilton.
Who can join Summer Chorus? Everyone is welcome! The Summer Chorus includes those who are already in a choir (high school, church, or community ensemble) and singers who are looking for a new place to sing or who haven't sung in a while.

No audition. Register in advance with voice part to ellen@musiconthehillCT.org or 203-529-3133. Cost: $40 suggested minimum contribution; students, $20.
The Summer Chorus draws singers from across the region to rehearse and perform a major choral work each July. It is a great opportunity to sing a longer work, to keep singing over the summer when other choirs do not meet, to sing with a larger group, and to sing with new people. Like all Music on the Hill ensembles, it is a finite, time-limited commitment.

Summer Sings! in August
Can't commit to rehearsals in July? Join Music on the Hill for August Summer Sings! Four stand-alone music reading sessions will be held on Tuesdays, 7 to 9 p.m., starting August 8 at WEPCO. Each session features a different composer(s) and different conductor. No rehearsal, no performance, no registration, no worries -- just walk in and sing! Donations welcome.
