Riverdance Cast Member Teaches Irish Dance at Trackside in Wilton
A new Irish Dance Class comes to Trackside Teen Center this September with Irish Dance Instructor and Riverdance cast member Meghan Lucey.

This September, a new dance class is coming to Trackside Teen Center! Teens in grades 6 and up will have the opportunity to learn the basics of Irish Dance with Riverdance cast member, Meghan Lucey. Certified to teach through An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha in Dublin, Meghan has toured abroad and in the US with Riverdance since 2007 and performed on several TV programs including Riverdance: On Ice in 2011, America’s Got Talent with the Irish Dance/Hip Hop crew Hammerstep in 2013, and The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2015. Having completed another run with the recent National Tour of Riverdance, Meghan is looking forward to teaching Irish Dance in Wilton.
While Irish Dance can be a competitive and challenging activity for teens, the Trackside Irish Dance class is all about fun and enjoying dance! Beginners are welcome to join, as are students with prior dance experience. Students will not need to purchase new shoes or dance outfits for this class, but comfortable clothing and sneakers are recommended. Students who already own dance or jazz shoes are encouraged to bring them to class. Classes will be held on Mondays from 4-5pm beginning September 19th and ending November 14th. Classes will not be held on days when Wilton schools are closed. Class registration is available online at www.trackside.org. A class fee of $120 ($20 per class) may be submitted with online registration, or by check or cash. Questions may be directed to Trackside Program Director Amy Nassef at (203) 834-2888 or Amy@trackside.org.
