Road Closed Over Train Tracks at Cannondale

An apparent signal malfunction has prompted flashing lights, ringing bells and blocked traffic at the Cannondale Train Station.

The malfunction occurred around 3:15 p.m. and the Wilton Police Officer on scene said MTA police would arrive in about a half hour. He expected the right of way to be closed for about an hour.

The barriers, lights and alarms that usually accompany a train passing through are all currently active. Police are encouraging residents and motorists to use alternate routes through the area.
