Sing with Music on the Hill: Mozart Requiem
Singers are invited to rehearse and perform the Mozart Requiem with the Music on the Hill Summer Chorus in July.
Music on the Hill calls for singers for this July's Summer Chorus performing the Mozart Requiem, with soloists and orchestra. Artistic Director Ellen Dickinson will conduct.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m., starting July 5th at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Wilton, 48 New Canaan Road (Route #106). Concert: Thursday, July 28, at 8 p.m., also at St. Matthew's.
New singers -- including high school students! -- are welcome. Advance registration required. E-mail ellen@musiconthehillCT.org. A $40 minimum contribution is suggested.

Can't commit to rehearsals in July? Consider joining Music on the Hill for Summer Sings in August. Each Tuesday evening, Aug. 2 - 23, a different choral work with a different conductor. Choose a familiar favorite or try something new. No registration, no performance, no worries! Summer Sings are free of charge with donations welcome.

About Summer Chorus
The Summer Chorus of 60+ voices meets each July to rehearse and perform a major choral-orchestral work. Participants -- music professionals and skilled amateurs -- include members of church and community choirs, high school singers, and those looking for a choral home.
The Summer Chorus has performed cantatas by J.S. Bach, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, the Brahms Requiem, and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, among others.
About Music on the Hill
Music on the Hill is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to high-quality music performance and education for all ages.
Under the dynamic leadership of its artistic directors, David H. Connell (D.M.A.) and Ellen Dickinson (M.M.), Music on the Hill offers workshops, an August Summer Sings series, and opportunities to perform through four ensembles: Summer Chorus, Festival Chorus, Chamber Chorus, and the Jubilate Ringers handbell choir. The groups perform, in rotation, six to eight concerts each year, primarily in Wilton, Weston, and Westport.
