All My Children star David Canary died earlier this month of natural causes, according to an obituary published in the Wilton Bulletin.
Canary died Nov. 16 at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton at the age of 77.

Born in Indiana in 1938, Canary moved to New York City after turning down an offer to play professional football for the Denver Broncos. He achieved much success in theater and after serving two years in the army, he resumed his career and soon found himself in Los Angeles working in film and theater. Canary starred in the night-time soap Peyton Place till its finale in 1972.
He then returned to New York City in 1975 where he landed a role on All My Children that lasted 26 years playing Adam and Stuart Chandler. Canary retired from acting in 2010.

According to the Wilton Bulletin:
In addition to his wife, Maureen, David is survived by his son, Christopher and his wife, Amy of Philadelphia, his daughter, Kathryn and her fiancé, John Rothmeier of New York City, his grandson, Donovan Canary of Philadelphia, and his brother John and wife Paula, of New York City. He was predeceased by his brother, Glenn, in 2008.
Funeral services will be private for immediate family. A memorial tribute is planned for a date to be determined.
