Special Stuff for Kids at the Norwalk Oyster Festival Sept. 5-7
For families with children, there's plenty to do at the Norwalk Oyster Festival, from Friday night through Sunday afternoon.
The 2014 Norwalk Oyster Festival has music, rides and food for the whole family, but special events and activities scheduled for kids throughout this weekend, from Sept. 5 to 7.
For a rundown of kid-centric stuff, go to the Oyster Festival’s website here and here. Here’s some of what you’ll find:
- On “Family Day Sunday,” one child (ages 5 to 12) can get in for free for every adult admission, and $15 unlimited ride bracelets will be available for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- For kids who like pirates, there’s the “Pirate Coast Adventure” with 50 “pirates” entertaining and playing with your young buccaneers.
- At various times throughout the weekend, “Cirque de la Oyster” presents a circus with Chinese acrobats, Wild West performers and more.
