Thomas Dominick Sachetti, 73, Passed Away

Mr. Sachetti started his career as owner of Clark Tractor in Wilton for more than10 years.

Thomas Dominick Sachetti, age 73, son of Dominick Sachetti and Antoinette DeCesare died on March 13, 2016. Tom was born in Norwalk CT on January 23, 1943 and raised in Ridgefield CT.

Tom had a strong and giving heart. He was a devoted family man and good friend.

He raised his family in West Redding CT and is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 50 years Maureen Sachetti, his daughters Lisa Mahon and Laurel Cardellichio, his son-in-law Peter Mahon, his three grandchildren Christina Mazzio, Elizabeth Mahon, and James Mahon, and his brother Donald Sachetti.

Tom was a gifted tractor mechanic, woodworker, and landscaper. He started his career as owner of Clark Tractor in Wilton CT for more than10 years. He then became self-employed in landscape work including field mowing that which he enjoyed immensely because of his appreciation for nature. Tom also worked for the Redding Land Trust and Conservation Commission.

Tom valued creating a safe, comforting, and welcoming home for his family. He built his first home on Simpaug Turnpike in West Redding for his wife Maureen on the weekends when they were first married. Years later, he converted a historic cider mill on Topstone Road from an antique shop into a new home. His final home of 32 years was also in West Redding.

Tom Sachetti, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend lived his life the way he wanted to and he died peacefully in his home after a long fight against cancer. His quiet perseverance during his health struggles is something his family and friends will always greatly admire.

Tom's family will receive friends on Saturday March 19, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Bouton Funeral Home 31 W Church Street Georgetown CT 06829, followed by a prayer service at 5:00 pm.
