Town Of Wilton Publishes Coronavirus Update

'Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 11-net patient increase. Fairfield County, 2-net patient change.'

October 19th – "The following are highlights from today’s CT DPH report versus Friday’s October 16th report.

  • Wilton: 2 new cases.
  • Statewide: 1,191 new cases. 1.66 % of current tests performed reported positive.
  • Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 11-net patient increase. Fairfield County, 2-net patient change.
  • Deaths: Statewide, 12. Fairfield County, 2.

Reminder: if you are holding an event to which the public is invited, you must obtain a temporary event permit. Instructions and the fillable permit application are available on the Town’s website. Click on the Forms and Permits button in the Resident Action Center on the Town’s homepage.

Once again the Town will be sponsoring the Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt beginning this Thursday through Halloween. Look for details in local press over the next couple of days.

Detailed Case Data:

The CT Data Center reported the following for Wilton as of 8:30 p.m. October 18th and versus the dates prior to the start of Phase 1 and Phase 2:

  • 276 cases, 69 additional since June 16th and 76 since May 19th.
  • 4,997 residents tested, 3,847 since June 16th and 4,287 since May 19th.
  • 7,519 tests performed, 6,067 since June 16th.
  • 42 deaths, 1 since June 16th and 5 since May 19th.

CT DPH reported the following for Fairfield County and Statewide as of 8:30 p.m. October 18th:

  • 21,674 cases, 5,293 additional since 6/16 64,021 cases, 18,592 additional since 6/16
  • 1,429 deaths, 77 additional since 6/16 4,554 deaths, 335 additional since 6/16
  • 51 hospitalized, 17 less than 6/16 195 hospitalized, 9 more than 6/16
