Town Of Wilton Publishes Coronavirus Update For December 28

December 28th - "The application and information for the Town’s COVID-19 Property Tax Deferral Program are now available here. Applications to defer taxes due on January 1st must be filed by January 27th.

On December 30th at noon and January 5th at 9:00 a.m., the CT Small Business Development Administration will hold informational webinars about new COVID small business relief programs. Registration information is available on their website, as is other helpful resources.

As of today, 32,276 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Connecticut. Since last week, the number of locations in CT administering vaccines has tripled. Wilton’s emergency medical responders have begun receiving the vaccine. Wilton’s Public Health Nurses, Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield Country, expect to receive vaccines by the second week in January.
The following is data, as of 8:30 p.m. last night, from today’s CT DPH report versus Wednesday’s December 23rd report, reflecting 5 days of activity:
- Wilton: 17 net new case reported. 589 cases YTD.
- Statewide: 10,495 new cases. 5.92% of the 177,411 new tests reported were positive. 181,200 cases YTD.
- Fairfield County: 2,463 new cases. 55,037 cases YTD.
- Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 1,219 with a 64-net patient increase. Fairfield County, 291 with a 12-net patient increase.
- Deaths: Statewide, 5,904 with 169 new deaths. Fairfield County, 1,697 with 37 new deaths. Wilton, 45, with no new deaths.
Cases newly known to the Wilton Health Department ranged in age from 1 to 70.
During the period from December 16th to December 22nd, there were no new cases of Coronavirus among residents of Wilton’s nursing and assisted living facilities.
