Town Of Wilton Publishes Coronavirus Update For January 23

'Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 1,058 with a 11-net patient decrease. Fairfield County, 250 with a 29-net patient decrease.'

January 22nd - "We have been notified that we will receive a small number of vaccines next week. Wilton residents 75 and up, please contact Social Services Director Sarah Heath or Senior Center Coordinator Stephanie Rowe. They can assist you with scheduling an appointment. They also maintain our vaccine clinic waitlist. Please spread the word!

Vaccine and Case Data:

This morning the CDC reported the following for Connecticut: 477,250 vaccines received. 287,440 vaccines administered. The State received an extra 50,000 vaccines this week. There won’t be extra vaccines for the upcoming week.

The following is data, as of 8:30 p.m. last night, from today’s CT DPH report versus yesterday’s January 21st report.

  • Wilton: 10 new cases reported. 729 cases pandemic-to-day (PTD).
  • Statewide: 2,019 new cases. 4.93% of the 40,958 new tests reported were positive. 237,815 cases PTD.
  • Fairfield County: 896 new cases. 69,065 cases PTD.
  • Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 1,058 with a 11-net patient decrease. Fairfield County, 250 with a 29-net patient decrease.
  • Deaths: Statewide, 6,819 with 45 new deaths. Fairfield County, 1,886 with 18 new deaths. Wilton, 46, no new deaths.

With the uptick in cases and the variant strain of the virus found in Connecticut, please exercise extra caution and behave as if you have the virus and as if those around you do as well.
